Spreading the Story of Prilep Through Exceptional Wine

Spreading the Story of Prilep Through Exceptional Wine

The small family winery of Goce is now part of the store on Kajak.mk.

Sarika Winery is a small family winery with a capacity of up to 5600 liters of wine, and it was officially registered in 2020.

Goce, as the owner of the winery, says that he has been involved in viticulture for a long time and that he established the winery to continue the story started by his great-grandfather, grandfather, and father. Wine in his family was made in the traditional way using a manual grape crusher, and all the varieties they grew were placed in wooden barrels, which were used as storage containers for household purposes.

Today, Goce says that he has sophisticated equipment that makes his work easier, and with that, he strives to increase the small production year by year. The most important thing is to maintain the production of high-quality wines.

The labels available at Sarika include Vranec, Prokupec, Plovdina, Muscat, and Sarika White (Župjanka and Rkatsiteli).

The most important fact is that he still uses grapes from his own vineyards in the Prilep wine region. The wines are fruity, with distinct freshness and high acidity due to the high altitude of about 730 meters.

In the future, he plans to participate in more international competitions to confirm that the Prilep region is also favorable for producing premium wines.
