Stay in Resen: Food and Walks by Lake Prespa Take Priority!

Stay in Resen: Food and Walks by Lake Prespa Take Priority!

In the coming period, the Kajak.mk team will introduce you to the smaller towns across the country that are worth visiting. We especially recommend such destinations to people who work in stressful environments and spend their working days surrounded by noise and city chaos.

Resen is a town with a rich and interesting history and should not be underestimated as a tourist destination. One of its highlights is the beautiful Resen Saraj — one of the most representative examples of neoclassical architecture in Macedonia. Built in the French Renaissance style, it is considered one of the most important architectural landmarks from the early 20th century, featuring elements from various European historical styles. Construction took place between 1905 and 1909.

We spoke with Bobi Ćorpanovski, a young and ambitious owner of the "Majska Rosa" motel in Resen, which is located in a peaceful area. He says that their motel is a choice for all kinds of guests — from young people who want to explore the surrounding mountains to older visitors who prefer to take leisurely walks by Lake Prespa.

Bobi says that the goal of their motel is to satisfy the needs of all guests — both those who want to relax and enjoy the motel and its spacious yard, as well as those whose aim is to explore the town of Resen, Lake Prespa, and Galičica.

Our recommendation is a weekend tour, which can be planned for Saturday and Sunday, visiting: the town of Resen, the Resen Saraj, Lake Prespa, and Galičica.
