Planted 5,000 Trees with Komercijalna Banka

Planted 5,000 Trees with Komercijalna Banka

Hey everyone! We’re excited to inform you that the number of trees planted through our team-building events has increased by an additional 5,000 trees. The employees of Komercijalna Banka rolled up their sleeves over the weekend and took a huge step toward creating a healthier and cleaner environment—not just for the present, but for future generations as well.

This eco team-building event was organized in the Sveti Nikole region, an area known for low rainfall and insufficient forest coverage. The event was directly supported by the public enterprise “National Forests,” where forestry engineers were present on-site in the designated reforestation area. They shared their expertise on planting methods and effective reforestation of the region.

We are glad that this initiative by Komercijalna Banka gave the young local scouts from the “Goce Delchev” scouting troop the chance to spend a wonderful day in nature, while also bringing great joy and happiness to our local promoters of the region.

As our local support for organizing the full-day event, Nikola Ristevski was directly involved—someone we consider a local hero who does everything to develop tourism in Ovchepolie.

Aleksandar Ilić, President of the Trade Union Organization at Komercijalna Banka, says that events like these should become a tradition respected every year. According to him, reforestation beautifies the region’s landscape, while at the same time, such actions ensure a healthy future for current and future generations. Aleksandar adds that through this initiative, they hope to motivate other companies to participate in similar team-building activities that are socially beneficial for the entire nation.

After the event, the Komercijalna Banka team visited the Đuriški Monastery, located in one of the most beautiful areas around Sveti Nikole. There, within the monastery complex, they had the opportunity to learn how traditional Sveti Nikole pastrmalija is prepared and baked, and with every bite, to truly taste the essence of the region.

We’re glad that more and more companies are joining our eco-list, and we’re happy to include all our local heroes who have dedicated their lives to building local tourism—and who truly deserve support during these challenging times.

Events like these will continue to be held during the months when effective reforestation is possible. Therefore, we invite you to join our eco-family and become part of the Kajak.mk list of hero companies that support the local community and ecology.
