Mountain Cottage in Kruša, Macedonia Now Available for Rent

Mountain Cottage in Kruša, Macedonia Now Available for Rent

It might still be early to talk about unique spring and summer hideaways, as February and March are ahead of us, but now is the perfect time to mention that starting today, a hideaway ideal for spring and summer stays is available in the Kajak.mk database. It's the perfect spot to enjoy the lush green forest and the spring and summer breeze that rustles the leaves while you relax in the yard of the mountain cottage in Kruša.

Today, we're taking you to Kruša. Kruša is a scenic getaway located near the Közuf ski center, right on the border between the municipalities of Gevgelija and Kavadarci. We wouldn't call this area a tourist spot; instead, Kruša is more of a retreat for the local population from southern Macedonia. The residents use this mountainous “village” for agricultural activities and as a peaceful escape to recharge.

Kruša is a destination we recommend to all adventurers, mountain lovers, those who honor the mountains, and anyone willing to contribute to promoting the beauty of the mountains.

To reach Kruša, you can take an off-road vehicle along an unpaved road, hike, or drive up to a certain point via the asphalt road leading to the Kozuf ski center (which is currently not in operation). The most suitable vehicles for reaching Kruša are off-road vehicles or motorcycles. As a tourism promotion team, we do not recommend visiting Kruša during snowstorms, as there is a high chance of getting stuck in the snow. However, if you do choose to visit during this time, we advise going on foot with experienced mountain guides who are familiar with the conditions of Kozuf Mountain.

Spring, summer, and early autumn are the perfect times to visit Kruša. The dense forest will give you the feeling of being in the Swiss Alps, while the surrounding nature and hiking opportunities will recharge your batteries to the maximum.

Today, we will introduce you to the first cottage available for stay. We met the host, Vane, who opened his doors to the world of Kajak.mk and emphasized that the cottage is almost new and renovated, with additional renovations planned for the spring.

The cottage has a capacity for 9 people, and upon arrival, the hosts will greet you and provide guidance on the area to help you get acquainted with your surroundings.
