Our Whole Family is Dedicated to Harvesting and Processing High-Quality Wild Fruits
From the Tikvesh region, we move to the Berovo area, where we meet Irena—the woman who, as of today, has her stand in the Kajak.mk grocery store. She tirelessly creates new flavours from the local fruits and herbs that the Berovo region offers.
You can explore and order Irena's products with just one click HERE.
Irena says that she is already registered with the Food and Veterinary Agency and can now sell her products as a small producer directly to customers.
She shares with Kajak.mk that she has been engaged in this work for seven years, having started by chance after being inspired by women's groups on social media. She initially began producing various syrups, such as dandelion and pine syrup and later expanded to fresh fruit juices—made without artificial flavours, colors, or preservatives.
She says that she gathers the herbs herself with the help of her husband, and her children and entire family also lend a hand. Recently, they bought a house on the outskirts of their village, where they plan to open their workshop following the HACCP system.
She jokingly says that when working with her very young children, she often doesn’t even have time to take photos.
