Accommodation in the Clouds: Visit "Staro Selo"

Accommodation in the Clouds: Visit "Staro Selo"

Sometimes, we add a title to our writings depending on the inspiration that comes to us while writing the text and looking at the photos sent by the hosts.

But our titles match the accommodations, because you can truly capture the feeling we want to highlight.

Today, we introduce you to another new accommodation that is part of the kajak.mk database, located in the unique mountain village of "Staro Selo." For those who haven't heard of Staro Selo, here's a bit more about it:

The village is located in the northern part of the Dolni Polog region, 25 kilometers north of Tetovo. To the west of the village rises the Shar Mountain. What makes the village unique is its altitude and excellent position, offering a beautiful view of the valley. The village sits at an altitude of around 1000 meters, and on days when the fog settles in the valley, you get the feeling as if you are staying in the clouds.

The host, Zoran, who opened the doors to the world of Kajak.mk for us, says that the road to the village passes through beautiful nature. Along with the historical facts about the village, you have the opportunity to enjoy a natural museum.

The village is visited by many hiking groups and associations because it is located on one of the paths that lead to the summit of Ljuboten. You can often meet these groups at the village's memorial fountain "Brotherhood and Unity."

For those who are not yet active hikers or those who plan to start hiking, the team at Kajak.mk advises visiting the village, where you'll meet many hikers and have the opportunity to use the nearby trails for a walk through the forest.
