A Beautiful Restaurant on the Treska River: A New Weekend Destination!
A Beautiful Restaurant on the Treska River: A New Weekend Destination!
The survey we started on our Facebook group "Tourism in Macedonia" indicates that most Macedonians are looking forward to the arrival of spring to travel around the country. All those who love warm weather, the green color of trees, and enjoying by the water should keep in mind our new recommendation for a weekend gastro destination.
Today, the Kajak.mk caravan takes you to the village of Dolni Manastirec in the municipality of Macedonian Brod. Many know the village for the "Izvor" restaurant, which is built on the banks of the Treska River.
"Izvor" is the new gastro destination that we are adding to our "Gastronomy" base, and you can find the exact location, coordinates, and phone number for reservations with one click HERE.
It is said that the "Izvor" restaurant was built by brothers Vlado and Jane, who, together with their wives, managed to create a new modern restaurant from the ashes of an old ruined watermill that once stood at the same location.
The cold and fast water that flowed down from the mountain used to turn the millstones and grind wheat for the needs of the local villagers. Today, thanks to their hard work and desire to develop tourism in the region, a modern hospitality facility is being built, through which the springs flow.
The restaurant is located about 15 kilometers from Macedonian Brod, and you can combine your trip to the region with a visit to the Slatin waterfalls.
For reservation information, photos, and the exact location, you can find it with one click HERE.
