It is located next to the village of Ratevo, 6 kilometers from the town of Berovo, at an altitude of 1,000 meters. The area around the lake is rich with beautiful spots for picnics, recreation, and sports.

In May, you can witness the blossoming pines, and in July and August, you can swim in the lake’s waters. There are five hiking trails, some of which can also be explored by bicycle. There is also a transversal trail connecting the southernmost and northernmost parts of Maleševo, with a length of 45 kilometers and an elevation difference of 730 meters – a true challenge even for the most passionate enthusiasts.
