I Moved from Turkey to Macedonia, Where I Built My Happy Eco Story
I Moved from Turkey to Macedonia, Where I Built My Happy Eco Story
Today, we will introduce you to the man who moved from Turkey to Macedonia 10 years ago. He decided to settle in Ohrid, where he later married and welcomed his son into the world. Sezer is our new local hero from Ohrid, earning his place in the "Gastronomy" section.
Today, Akin Sezer, or as all his friends know him, "Sezer Aga," has an 8-year-old son, a wonderful family, and a beautiful story that is part of the kajak.mk database.
Sezer owns a
field and farm situated 2 kilometers from the center of Ohrid. His land,
located just 50 meters from the lake, benefits from a favorable climate that is
ideal for cultivating various crops.
What sets Prazi
Sezer apart from other farmers? Sezer cultivates a variety of garden vegetables
that you can purchase directly from the field. In addition, he produces several
food products that he sells at the market, including ajvar, lutenica, makalo,
zimnitza, and turshija, all
of which are naturally preserved in jars.
His seedlings
come from the seeds of the organic vegetables he grows, ensuring that there is
no room for waste in his field.
Sezer combines Macedonian and Turkish traditions to create diverse flavors that appeal to everyone. He takes particular pride in the unique taste of the ajvar he prepares, which differs from the traditional method of making ajvar.
Sezer sells
artichokes, asparagus makalo, pasta sauces, vinegars, pickles, and salads. This
year, he has started producing liqueur for the first time.
Sezer's farm
often welcomes volunteer helpers from various countries who visit him
regularly. He is known for being a gracious host, offering a warm welcome to
all his guests with a cup of coffee or a glass of drink.
Fluently speaking Macedonian, Sezer is easily reachable by phone, and you can find his contact information by clicking HERE.
