Following in My Father's Footsteps: Creating Unique Works Together
Today on Kajak.mk, we are opening Lidija's shop, which our team wrote about some time ago. While we've previously promoted people who contribute to tourism and craftsmanship, today, through Kajak.mk, you can order and purchase their creations. In this way, not only are we promoting them, but you will also be providing them with direct support. You can check out Lidija's shop with just one click HERE.
Lidija says that four years ago she worked in a shop, but decided to follow in her father's footsteps and learn the craft he practices. Her love for nature inspired her to start making various wooden houses from materials she collects while hiking.
Her father is a long-time craftsman who creates various wooden items. He comes from the mountain village of Plake, where he inherited the craft from his ancestors.
Lidija is convinced that to make various wooden decorations, all you need is to be in love with nature. The materials she uses to craft the wooden houses are collected outdoors, and they mainly consist of dry forest fruits, pine cones, acorns, dry branches, and reeds washed ashore by the lake.
She is happy that after all these years, she is finally doing what fulfills her. She believes that craftsmanship is learned if there is desire and will. Every handmade creation made with love and care is something valuable to her. The work is slow, precise, and requires patience, but in the end, it will all pay off.
Buy one of Lidija's products and support her in your community. This way, you'll make both the locals and your loved ones happy. Click HERE to see the creations.
